Charles E. Fulcher, Jr.

Director, Visitor Programs

A member of the Cathedral staff since 2006, Charles E. Fulcher, Jr., was named Director of Visitor Programs in June 2014. In this capacity, Charles serves with a hardworking team that welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Cathedral each year.

He is responsible for reinvigorating the Cathedral’s school and family educational programs and for finding ways to improve the visitor experience. Having also served as the Cathedral’s Special Programs Manager and Group Tour Program Coordinator, Charles has helped create unique visiting experiences such as the “Evenings at the Cathedral” program for student groups and “Seeing Deeper.”

He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and the George Washington University and he often mentors graduate students in the GWU Museum Education Program. His museum career includes work at the Sir Christopher Wren Building, the International Spy Museum, and the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.

Charles is also a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, College Park, Md., and has served on its vestry and long-term planning committee.
