The newly-renovated Virginia Mae Center is a premiere venue for the Cathedral’s public programming and a unique gathering space that can support a range of different activities. Through residential programs, retreats, pilgrimages and conferences, the Virginia Mae Center is a convening point to undergird our strategic priorities of Welcoming, Convening, Deepening and Serving.

Get to know the Virginia Mae Center

Centrally located within the tranquility of the Cathedral grounds, the Virginia Mae Center is a place of learning, pilgrimage and spiritual renewal, a safe venue for difficult conversations, and a healing space for all who enter its doors.

The Virginia Mae Center can accommodate a range of different uses and is available for rental. The LEED-certified facility features a light commercial kitchen, meeting and conferences spaces, an intimate chapel, dining facility (refectory), an enclosed garden courtyard and overnight accommodations for up to 23 people. Most bedrooms include a private en-suite bathrooms.

The 30,000-square-foot facility is fully digital, allowing us to share programming with participants regardless of geography. The building is accessible for people with disabilities.
