J. S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion

Sun Mar. 24 • 4 pm In-person and online. Join the Cathedral Choir and Baroque Orchestra for St. Matthew Passion, among the greatest masterpieces of the sacred concert canon.

Easter Sunday Organ Recital

Sun Mar. 31 • 2 pm In-person and online. Thomas Sheehan celebrates the joy of Easter with a selection of uplifting music to celebrate the Resurrection on the Cathedral Organ. No tickets required.

In the Company of the Saints

Sun May 5 • 4 pm Join the Cathedral for a concert that explores the legacies of saints from St. Peter and St. Paul, to Hildegard of Bingen, to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Memorial Day Organ Recital

Marin Alsop Conducts Beethoven's 9th Symphony

Sun Jun. 30 • 6 pm The National Orchestral Institute + Festival, world-renowned conductor Marin Alsop, and Heritage Signature Chorale perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with poetry by 2017 Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral.

A July 4th Musical Celebration

Veterans Day Concert

Sat Nov. 11 • 4 pm Featuring Cathedral musicians and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Chamber Orchestra. Includes popular music from the American Civil War, World War I and II, Korean War, and Vietnam War eras, along with other patriotic and celebratory favorites.

Onward and Upward

Sat Feb. 3 • 4 pm An inspirational celebration of Black History Month through spoken word, dance, and music. Featuring Washington Performing Arts Children of the Gospel, the Katherine Smith Contemporary Dance Ensemble, and the SE Tennis and Learning Center’s “Blacks in Wax.” Directed by Michele Fowlin.
