Labor Day Organ Recital

Sun Sep. 3 • 2 pm In-person and online. Celebrate the opening of the new season with an organ recital featuring Bruce Neswick, artist-in-residence at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, La Jolla, CA, and founding director of the Girls Choir at Washington National Cathedral. No tickets required.

Veterans Day Concert: A Tribute

Sat Nov. 11 • 4 pm In-person and online. Join Cathedral musicians and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Chamber Orchestra for an afternoon of patriotic and celebratory music, presented in collaboration with organizations working to support veterans and their families in civilian life. No tickets required.

Thanksgiving Organ Recital

Sun Nov. 19 • 2 pm In-person and online. Join us for a recital featuring Caroline Robinson, Organist and Associate-Choirmaster at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta. No tickets required.

Handel's Messiah

Onward and Upward

Sat Feb. 3 • 4 pm Celebrate Black History Month at the Cathedral through this inspirational afternoon of spoken word, dance, and music. Featuring Children of the Gospel, the Katherine Smith Contemporary Dance Ensemble, and the SE Tennis and Learning Center’s “Blacks in Wax.”

Presidents Day Organ Recital

Sun Feb. 18 • 2 pm In-person and online. Join us for an organ recital featuring Kola Owolabi, Professor of Organ at the University of Notre Dame. No tickets required.

J. S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion

Sun Mar. 24 • 4 pm In-person and online. Join the Cathedral Choir and Baroque Orchestra for St. Matthew Passion, among the greatest masterpieces of the sacred concert canon.

Easter Sunday Organ Recital

In the Company of the Saints

Marin Alsop Conducts Beethoven's 9th Symphony

Sun Jun. 30 • 4 pm The National Orchestral Institute + Festival, world-renowned conductor Marin Alsop, and Heritage Signature Chorale perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with poetry by 2017 Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral.

A July 4th Musical Celebration
