Interim Co-Director, Guest and Event Management Services
Sarah Rockwood joined the Cathedral in 2007, when she started the Cathedral’s centralized patron services office. Her role evolved to include ticketing and front of house responsibilities for a wide variety of events and services in the Cathedral’s programmatic life.
She is now the interim co-director of Guest and Event Management Services (GEMS), sharing this leadership role with Dina Helderman. Together they lead the teams that support events at the Cathedral, including worship services, tours, concerts, forums, partner events, and event rentals. Rockwood oversees the Guest Services team, which includes house management, box office and volunteer management, and is a member of the Cathedral’s senior management team. A lifelong Episcopalian with a background in arts administration, she contributes her expertise to the Cathedral’s mission as a convener for cultural programming in a setting that is welcoming to all.
Rockwood holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Michigan State University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management from Wayne State University.
