Valerie Ciccone was promoted to director of the office of event management in September 2018 after working in the department for seven years. Ciccone maintains the Cathedral’s master calendar and provides leadership, direction and management to support events at the Cathedral, including worship services, concerts, forums, partner events and event rentals. Working with six full-time event coordinators, the housekeeping/sextons department and a team of sound engineers, her department also oversees the Cathedral’s volunteer program. Ciccone holds a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University. When not at the Cathedral, she can be found playing or watching tennis.
