The Rev. Kwasi Thornell

Former Program Manager, The Education for Excellence Program (TEEP)

Kwasi A. Thornell is currently Director of In My Father’s House
Ministries, a program for educational empowerment and spiritual
development for African American men and youth. Retiring from active
parish ministry in February, 2004, Dr. Thornell has over thirty-three
years of experience serving the church in urban settings, including two
cathedrals, as diocesan Urban Missioner and rector of several inner city
congregations. A graduate of the Episcopal Divinity School receiving
both a Masters of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree, he also has
certification in Early Childhood Education from the Montgomery County
Community College. Married to Dr. Linda Thornell, they have four grown
children and two grandchildren.
