Christina Dykstra Mead

Former Provost and Chief Operating Officer

Christina Dykstra Mead was appointed the Cathedral’s Chief
Operating Officer in July 2000. She is the principal executive
overseeing the operation of the Cathedral’s programmatic and
pastoral ministries, as well as all business related functions. Ms. Mead is responsible for implementation of institutional strategic and
operational plans; the Cathedral’s financial and budget management
functions; human resources management and property management. For the
past twenty-five years, Ms. Mead has held senior management posts
within Reading Is Fundamental including vice president and chief
financial officer. Her previous career posts include administrative
positions with McKinsey & Company, an international consulting firm,
and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation where she served
as executive assistant to the chief executive for finance.

Ms. Mead earned a bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin
and a masters degree in public administration from New York University
Graduate School of Public Administration. Her many civic and volunteer
leadership activities include service as a trustee of the Shipley School
in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, of which she is a graduate, the Campaign for
Wisconsin, and membership on the Board of Directors of the House of Ruth
in Washington, D.C.
