Give Sorrow Words: A Reflective Writing Workshop

Join the Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage for an online event led by Mary Hall Surface: Give Sorrow Words — A Reflective Writing Workshop inspired by Art.

The experience of grief is universal and yet we often feel alone and unmoored when faced with loss. In this 90-minute online workshop, discover how reflective writing can offer a creative buoy for engaging with loss. Inspired by works of visual art and poetry, participants will give words to grief through a gentle series of reflective writing prompts. Experience a process in which reflection and writing becomes a place of comfort and a space for holding sorrow as well as remembrance. Designed for all, not just “writers,” the workshop embraces close outward looking at art and rich inward looking through reflective writing for personal and spiritual growth.
