Our principal weekly Holy Eucharist anchors our worship life and prepares us for the week ahead. The Cathedral’s soaring architecture will point your eyes toward heaven as prayers, preaching and music open our hearts to God. Our worship is based on the traditions of The Episcopal Church and features beloved hymns, a hybrid blend of traditional and contemporary music and the best in Cathedral preaching. All who seek a deeper relationship with God in Christ are welcome to receive Communion. ASL interpretation is offered for this service.

Pride Sunday

This week’s service celebrates and honors the lives and contributions of members of the LGBTQIA+ community with special prayers and guest preacher The Rev. Altagracia Pérez-Bullard, PhD, Associate Dean for Multicultural Ministries and Assistant Professor of Practical Theology, Virginia Theological Seminary.

Following the service, worshippers are invited to visit Matthew Shepard’s final resting place in St. Joseph’s Chapel. Matthew was interred in the Washington National Cathedral Columbarium on October 26, 2018, following a service of thanksgiving and remembrance.
