Dana Marsh, conductor
Dana Marsh’s musical education began as a boy chorister at St. Thomas Choir School (New York) and at Salisbury Cathedral (UK). He received his undergraduate degree from the Eastman School of Music, with later master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Oxford. Acclaimed by The Washington Post as “a superb choral conductor, energetic and precise,” Marsh has enjoyed guest-conducting collaborations with the Choirs of Trinity Wall Street and St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, the orchestras of Trinity Baroque and New York Baroque Incorporated, Bach Collegium San Diego, Cappella Romana, Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival, Magnificat (U.K.), Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, and the Portland Baroque Orchestra, among others. Known to DC audiences, Marsh is artistic director of the critically acclaimed Washington Bach Consort and serves as Professor of Music and Director of the Historical Performance Institute at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
