Holy Eucharist Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
Our principal weekly Holy Eucharist anchors our worship life and prepares us for the week ahead. This week’s service commemorates the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and features the tolling of the bourdon bell, reflective music and a Litany of Remembrance. The Pentagon Memorial Cross, carved from pieces of the rubble by Alvin Neider and presented to the Cathedral, will be on display in the nave. This page will be updated as more details become available.
Our worship is based on the traditions of The Episcopal Church and features beloved hymns, a hybrid blend of traditional and contemporary music and the best in Cathedral preaching. All who seek a deeper relationship with God in Christ are welcome to receive Communion.
Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Proper 19
Presider: The Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith
Preacher: The Rev. Canon Jan Naylor Cope
