They say a picture is worth a thousand words ... but just imagine how many words were conjured up by these remarkable new stained glass windows.

We’re still digging out from a whirlwind weekend of joy and celebration as the Cathedral unveiled and dedicated new Now and Forever windows designed by Kerry James Marshall, along with a stunning new poem, “American Song”, by Elizabeth Alexander.

We could go on all day about the beauty of the windows, the stirring liturgy and all the work that went into making it happen. Instead, scroll down the page and we’ll let the photos do the talking.

Click on each gallery to see more photos and read the captions. Special thanks to our photographers: Colin S. Johnson, Valerie Plesch and Steven Phillips.
