Inspired by readings from the Gospel of Luke and the words of John the Baptizer during Advent, The Voice of One Crying Out in the Wilderness, is an invitation to everyone to discover – or rediscover – their own voices as they proclaim the good news of God’s saving love as revealed in the birth of Jesus. It is also a challenge to each of us to repent of the unkind, unhelpful, and unwise things we’ve said to or about our neighbors. This Advent may we “…make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all people shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:3b,5).
