The reimagined windows—titled  “Now and Forever” — signify a new chapter in the Cathedral’s historic legacy of art and architecture, symbolizing its dedication to serving as a sacred gathering space where all Americans can witness themselves reflected in the building’s expanding art and iconography.

    As the world commemorates 500 days of Russia’s full-fledged aggression against Ukraine, Washington National Cathedral will host Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova and Ukrainian clergy for a special ecumenical prayer service on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

    WASHINGTON – Washington National Cathedral announced today that its landmark pipe organ will be renovated after several Cathedral community members gave transformative gifts totaling $12.5 million. Connecticut-based Foley-Baker, which previously restored  many of America’s greatest organs, including at Duke University Chapel, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, and Boston Symphony Hall, has signed a contract to revitalize the historic instrument.
