Cathedral Announces A Better Way: An Evening with Francis Collins
WASHINGTON – Washington National Cathedral announces a special evening with Dr. Francis S. Collins, renowned physician, former NIH director, and best-selling author, in conversation with Cathedral Dean Randy Hollerith.
This event is part of the Cathedral’s A Better Way initiative, which fosters national unity and respectful discourse by encouraging all Americans to embrace their differences and strive for mutual understanding.
In his new book, “The Road to Wisdom,” Collins highlights four core sources of judgment and clear thinking: truth, science, faith and trust. He reflects on his spiritual journey, from growing up on a farm to embracing Christianity after his earlier atheism. Drawing on his experience as director of the Human Genome Project, Collins explores ethics, philosophy, and Christian theology to make a compelling case for each source and propose a new path forward.
In-person and livestream tickets are available on a pay-what-you-wish basis.
