About Cathedral Cares
Cathedral Cares is our hub for bringing compassion to our neighbors and those most in need. Working with our network of partners, we offer several opportunities throughout the year for the Cathedral community to come together to deliver God’s love to a hurting world.
We invite you to open your heart and extend your hands in service. As we say every Sunday, “Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God.”
Easter Boxes for Community Youth
The Cathedral Scholars Program, along with partners at Friendship Place, are excited to announce the 2nd annual Easter Boxes initiative to help community youth. Intended for children between the ages of 5 and 12, the boxes will contain essential school supplies and fun toys to brighten their Easter holiday.
You can help by donating new or gently used school supplies and/or age-appropriate toys. Wondering what to purchase? Refer to this Amazon Wish List for suggestions. Note that this list is not exhaustive; any donations of school supplies or appropriate toys are welcome.
Donation Drop-Off Days
Please bring donations to the Outreach & Social Justice table after the Sunday Holy Eucharist (around 12:30 pm) on March 3, 10, and 17.
The Cathedral segregates and tracks all funds gifted for a specific purpose for that restricted purpose. They are spent and released in accordance with the lower of the amount budgeted in the associated annual operation or capital budgets, or actual expenses incurred for the restricted purpose.
