The Cathedral Sanctuary Committee will hold a special training for those wishing to join our program of visiting immigrants in ICE detention. On any given night there are 1,000+ individuals in detention in four centers in our area. These immigrants are in dire straits and in need of encouragement and basic human contact.

Our training session will take place Tuesday, January 15, 2019, 7 - 9 pm
Conference Room N4 (North Tower)

Please note: Space is limited. You must register to attend.

Reserve your spot by emailing sanctuary@cathedralcongregation.org by January 10. This training is a requirement for all those wishing to visit with ICE detainees. If you sign up for visit, you will be registered with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and subject to a law enforcement background check.

Training leader: Erin Hustings, J.D., Legislative Counsel, NALEO Education Fund. Erin serves as the director of the DC Detention Visitation Network dcdetentionvisitation.org
