Training for Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs)

Sunday, February 23, 2020 | 1:30pm

Serving the chalice during Holy Communion is an important lay ministry and one in which those who serve often find great meaning. For members of the congregation who feel called to this ministry, now is an opportunity to explore that calling. Lay Eucharistic ministers at the Cathedral are licensed by the Episcopal Diocese of Washington upon the recommendation of Cathedral clergy.

Prior to licensing, those who are interested meet with a member of the clergy and, with clergy consent, participate in a training. If you are interested in exploring service as a lay Eucharistic minister, please contact Margaret Rawls: [email protected].
