The Search for the Divine and the Enneagram

Saturday, October 27, 2018 | 9:00am

Within all of us is the yearning to connect or reconnect, with something greater than ourselves. Some call that God, other’s call it the Divine, Allah, Buddha, essence, the Source. Still others may have no name for it, yet the search is what those who seek this connection have in common. The question for this workshop is “What is it that gets in the way of us connecting and returning to Source, living from essence, or experiencing the Divine more fully in our life?” The Enneagram and the teachings that have grown from thousands of years of study of this tool, offers us some insights, revelations, and practices that can ease our journey home.

Join us as we explore the concepts of the Enneagram and the 9 Styles. In the morning, focus on the basics to set  the ground work for the afternoon as we bring our attention to ourselves. Discover what we seek in a relationship with the Divine, how knowing Type gives insights into what gets in the way. Then learn specific strategies and practices that help us relax Type, welcome in experiences of the Divine and return to our essence.

Our workshop will be led by Theresa Gale, co-owner of Transform, Inc. Theresa is a certified Enneagram teacher who for 22 years has, with her business partner, Mary Anne Wampler, taught the Enneagram to business leaders, professionals, educators, church communities and individuals. Theresa has been on her own spiritual journey since childhood. She has a B. A. in Religious Studies from Catholic University and her ongoing spiritual work with the Enneagram and leadership at Kittamaqundi Community Church in Columbia, MD, have supported and nurtured her journey along the way.
