Stations of the Cross: An Ecumenical Journey

Saturday, March 4, 2017 | 1:30pm

The Stations of the Cross is an ecumenical Lenten tradition inviting prayer and reflection on Jesus’ final days through the visitation of 14 stations, each representing a part of our savior's journey to the grave. At the beginning of this important season in the Christian year, join Bishop Mariann Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington for an ecumenical pilgrimage and service of prayer and reflection.

Bishop Budde will be joined by Msgr. John Enzler, CEO of Catholic Charities; the Rev. Susan Henry Crowe, Chief Executive of the United Methodist Board of Church and Society; and other Christian representatives.

Details: Gather at 1:30pm in front of the Cathedral's main entrance. Together we will walk to St Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral to observe Station 13 and then return together to Station 14, the chapel of St Joseph of Arimathea in the crypt of Washington National Cathedral, for a service of prayer and reflection.
