Why should kids have all the fun? Join us Thursday evenings this summer as we explore playful practices that nourish the spirit. Bring your friends or make new ones as we create, explore and laugh together.
Drumming is an embodiment of prayer inviting us to listen deeply to the heartbeat of God. Joyful and uplifting, we discover our own rhythms and connect to the rhythms of others. Join us for an experience of group drumming where we will learn the basics of how to play the drum and how to create wonderful music together. Bring your own drum or use one of the drums provided. Beginners are especially welcome! Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Led by Katy Gaughan, Drumming for Wellness.
Katy Gaughan is a drummer who believes in the healing power of music, especially in the joyful rhythms and vibrations of the drum. Gaughan’s organization, Drumming for Wellness, brings people together through facilitated drum circles at churches, schools, professional settings, and community celebrations.
