Explore artmaking as spiritual practice and create your own illuminated manuscript page. Meeting online, we will begin with guided meditation and view images of medieval and contemporary manuscripts for inspiration. Using simple materials (paper, pens, markers, magazine images—whatever you have on hand) we will combine prayers, poems or text with color, borders, drawings and collaged elements to create personally meaningful images. No previous experience with art or contemplation is necessary, only curiosity and a willingness to engage the creative process.
Invite your friends or make new ones as we write, draw, and engage with the Spirit in creative community. All sessions will occur on Zoom. The Zoom link and password will be sent to you with your confirmation upon registration.
