Silver and Linen Guild Training and Work Day

Saturday, August 12, 2017 | 9:00am

Interested in joining the volunteers that help keep the Cathedral’s altars and worship pieces bright and beautiful? Join the Silver and Linen Guild’s Training and Work Day to learn about the behind the scenes work that makes everything from the processional cross to St. Mary’s Chapel shine. Members of the guild gather each Saturday morning in the sacristy to maintain not only the “hardware” that is used in each of the Cathedral’s nine chapels, but also the linens and communionware that are integral to the celebration of Eucharist. Guild members generally volunteer one Saturday a month. The day will provide not only basic training for new volunteers (and refreshers for existing members), but also an opportunity to put the new skills to work immediately. Lunch will be provided.

Please email Erin Ennis, Silver and Linen Guild Co-coordinator, to attend the training session and work day: [email protected].

Sign up by Friday, August 11 at noon.
