Post-Election Prayer Vigil

As America awaits the election results, the Cathedral will lead the nation in prayer and contemplation in a four-hour vigil on the day after Election Day.
The Cathedral will be open from 1 to 5 pm for private prayer and reflection.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Attendance for the afternoon vigil will be limited in accordance with District of Columbia public health guidelines; the Cathedral will be able to welcome no more than 100 people at any one time.
- Reservations are not required; admission will be allowed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Public health measures and social distancing will be followed, and we ask you to observe the guidance of the Cathedral staff.
- Properly worn face masks are required for all guests over the age of 6.
- Worshippers will be asked to provide contact information in the event it is needed for potential contact tracing.
- No clothing, signs or other items that support or oppose specific candidates will be allowed inside the Cathedral.
- In order to accommodate as many visitors as possible, we ask that you stay for stay for as long as you want but no longer than you need.
- The Cathedral will not be available for tourism, sightseeing or photography.
- Chaplains and clergy will be available both inside and outside the building.
- The only area of the Cathedral open to visitors will be the nave (main) level. The Cathedral gift shop and Open City Cafe remain closed.
- Complimentary parking will be available in the Cathedral garage.
