Former Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey headlines an evening of poetry and spoken word at the National Cathedral. She is joined on May Day by acclaimed poet Ailish Hopper and literary scholar Angelo Robinson for readings and dialogue honoring past and present movements for racial justice and immigrant rights.
