Give yourself a little love and cultivate love to share with the world in this workshop combining the lovingkindness (metta) meditation with intuitive painting. Beginning and ending with guided mindfulness meditations, enjoy a time of self- exploration and self-discovery that can lead to personal and spiritual insights and help you overcome creative and personal blocks, all while having great fun.
Paint like you did in kindergarten: spontaneously and for the pure enjoyment of it. Follow your intuition or muse and learn to disregard your rational mind. Keep your eye on the tip of the brush, and as you do this over the long term, 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows will arise and pass away, and bit by bit, you'll transcend your past conditioning.
Absolutely, no art experience or confidence needed. Remember, it’s the "Un-Art" workshop. We don't focus on what your painting looks like. We focus on what happens to you as you paint.
Tempera or gauche paints, 11” x 17” mixed media paper or any smooth white paper (poster board, card stock, etc.) a few different sized and shape paint brushes, a palette or plate to mix paints, bowl of water and clothe or paper towels to clean brushes.
