About Nathan Davy

Nathan Davy is the Assistant Organist at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, in Washington, D.C. Dr. Davy received his B.A. in Music and Classical Languages from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, and his M.M. and D.M.A. in Organ Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he studied with internationally renowned organists David Higgs, Edoardo Bellotti, and Michel Bouvard. While at Eastman he was awarded the Barnes Prize, the Cochran Prize, and the prestigious Performer’s Certificate. Dr. Davy won first prize at the Albert Schweitzer International Organ Competition, 2008, and was two times a semifinalist in the American Guild of Organist’s National Young Artist Competition in Organ Performance. He and his wife Laura have five children, John, Irene, Margaret, William, and Sophie.
