Join us to celebrate the 113th anniversary of the laying of the Cathedral’s foundation stone on the Feast of St Michael and All Angels (September 29, 1907). The foundation stone came from a field near Bethlehem and was set into a larger piece of American granite. Its inscription reads: “The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). Remembering the history and mission of the Cathedral, we welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, as our preacher and renew our Baptismal vows as we celebrate the baptisms of members of the Cathedral congregation with special music, readings, and prayers.
