One Man’s Journey to Survive Devastating Loss

Sunday, June 4, 2017 | 1:00pm

“On Friday night you stole the life of an exceptional person, the love of my life, the mother of my son, but you will not have my hate.”
— Antoine Leiris, author of You Will Not Have My Hate

Antoine Leiris lost his wife in the attack on the Bataclan Theater in Paris. One way he responded was to write a short book describing his grief and efforts to "survive." You Will Not Have My Hateis both a response to the terrorists and an acknowledgement of the overwhelming nature of loss. Our discussion will use his thoughts as a springboard to the large question of finding grace in the midst of devastation.
