One Journey Festival

Join us as the first national celebration of refugee talents, stories, and contributions transforms the grounds of the Cathedral. Free and family-friendly, the Festival will connect people from all backgrounds through food, music, art and dance –by refugee and immigrant performers, chefs and artists.

Highlights: Chef Jose Andres and a refugee chef discuss the importance of food and culture * Actor and model Ger Duany recounts his story as a “lost boy” of Sudan * Performances by refugee and immigrant music and dance groups, including the celebrated Pihcintu Multicultural Children’s Chorus * Kid’s Corner features henna, make-a-kite and calligraphy lessons taught by refugee families * Multicultural marketplace & food trucks * Shared Studios’ immersive video experience engages attendees with refugees living in overseas camps and host countries * Amnesty International hosts virtual reality experiences with a Rohingya refugee
