Michael Austin on God and Guns in America

Tuesday, June 9, 2020 | 8:00pm

The Cathedral Congregation Gun Violence Prevention Committee with The Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute hosts Michael W. Austin for an online discussion about his new book, God & Guns in America. Dean Hollerith speaks with Austin about this book, written for anyone who wants to consider the issue of guns in America from a Christian perspective—whether they are gun owners themselves or not. Cathedral Canon Missioner, The Rev. Canon Leonard L. Hamlin and Bonhoeffer Institute President, The Rev. Rob Schenck will join the conversation, as well.

Michael W. Austin is an author, Christian evangelical, gun owner, and Professor of Philosophy at Eastern Kentucky University.

The Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute honors and promotes the theological and ethical insights of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by forming and supporting ethical and morally courageous leaders to address the social crises of their time.

Registration to the Zoom discussion is limited to 100 people, but the full video will be available live on our Facebook page and archived on our Youtube page.
