Lectio for Lent: Symbols of Hope

Sunday, February 21, 2021 | 4:00pm

Looking back on a year where many of us have given up so much, how can we begin this season of Lent with a renewed sense of hope in order to create more space for the Spirit to move in and through us? Join us for a period of holy listening and seeing, exploring scripture, poetry and art that invites us to think about symbols of hope in our own lives and create our own responses through words and images. No special artistic or literary talent is needed for this workshop, just a desire to listen, look, pray, and play.

Terri Lynn Simpson is the coordinator for the Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage at Washington National Cathedral. Grounded in the three-fold practices of prayer, pilgrimage, and poetry, she weaves strands of these Celtic influences into the retreats, pilgrimages and workshops she leads. In addition to having a graduate degree in theology and a doctorate in Spirituality and Story, Terri is a long-time student of Celtic spirituality.

Advanced registration is required; registration closes at noon ET on February 21
