The Justice God for Our Time: Cathedral Lenten series

Sunday, March 5, 2017 | 2:00pm

This Lenten series, led by the Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, will consider the movement of God as praxis. From Exodus to the Crucifixion, God has moved in human history to bring God’s will into action. God hears the cries of the oppressed, and renders a judgement requiring action from God’s people to enact freedom and justice.

Each session will focus on the connection between God’s movement for justice in biblical times and today, the role of God’s people in this praxis, and our own role as disciples in God’s movement. Content will include personal reflections and group discussions inspired by scripture, teaching, and awareness of our time in history as we seek to answer the question, “what does God’s praxis look like in our time?
