Holy Eucharist and Forum with Dr. Elaine Pagels

Join us for the celebration of Holy Eucharist on the Fifth Sunday in Lent. Dr. Elaine Pagels preaches; the Rev. Canon Dana Colley Corsello presides.

A high Cathedral liturgy in the nave; approximately 75 minutes, with sacred music from the Cathedral Choir. All are welcome. Immediately following the 11:15 service, Dr. Pagels will join Dean Randy Hollerith for a 45-minute forum.

About our guest preacher: Dr. Elaine Pagels is the Harrington Spear Paine Foundation Professor of Religion at Princeton University, and a leading scholar of the religious and philosophical currents surrounding the birth of early Christianity. She is the author of The New York Times best-selling “Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas,” which gained headlines around the world. Other books include “Revelations: Visions, Prophecy, and Politics in the Book of Revelation” as well as “The Gnostic Gospels,” “The Origin of Satan” and “Adam, Eve and the Serpent.”
