Full Like the Moon: Writing and the Practice of Gratitude

Monday, April 30, 2018 | 7:00pm

I have more on my mind to express; I am full like the full moon. (Sirach)

From the wisdom of scripture to the haiku of Basho and the Celtic prayer poems from the Scottish highlands and islands, a glimpse of the moon has inspired spiritual writers for centuries. Join us on the eve of Beltane, May Day on the Celtic calendar, as we reflect on the blessings of spring. Be guided by the words of poets from ages past and present as we write from our own fullness by the light of the full flower moon.

Dr. Terri Lynn Simpson is a writer, retreat leader, spiritual director and the founder of Anam Cara Retreats. Celtic spirituality is her path and inviting people into thin places where they may share their stories and experience the presence of the Holy is her work. In addition to having a graduate degree in theology and a doctorate in Spirituality and Story, Terri is a long-time student of Celtic spirituality. Grounded in the three-fold practices of prayer, pilgrimage and poetry, she weaves strands of these Celtic influences into the retreats, pilgrimages and workshops she leads for churches, healing ministries, women’s groups and faith based non-profit organizations.
