CUE, the adult division of YouthCUE, presents the fifth annual event for adult singers that features 140 singers from across North America, accompanied by members of the local professional symphony orchestra.
San Antonio-based YouthCUE is a multi-denominational non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of church and school youth choirs across North America. Founded in 1990 by Randy Edwards, YouthCUE has consistently grown in size and scope and is widely-credited for the resurgence of church youth choirs in the United States.
Major “Festivals,” YouthCUE’s flagship events, are held in various venues annually. Each Festival includes 200-400 singers from individual YouthCUE choirs, both large and small in size. Participating choirs learn a common repertoire and, upon arrival at the Festival location, engage in mass choir rehearsals, musical activities, and local community service projects. Each Festival concludes with a Grand Concert, free and open to the public, which is accompanied by members of the local professional symphony orchestra and is professionally recorded and distributed on the YouthCUE website.
More information about YouthCUE can be found on its website at www.youthcue.org.
This is the 16th year YouthCUE has performed at the National Cathedral.
