Covid-19 and Racism in the Black and Latino Communities

Wednesday, July 29, 2020 | 7:00pm

The Sanctuary Ministry and the Racial Justice Task Force host a special online discussion featuring Rev. Canon Paula Clark and Mr. Abel Núñez, Executive Director of CARECEN, moderated by Cathedral Canon Missioner, the Rev. Dr. Leonard L. Hamlin, Sr.

COVID-19 has disproportionately affected Black and Latino communities. This reflects their higher incidence of poverty and vulnerability, itself a result of racism, both implicit and systemic, grounded in a socio-economic system that immiserates the many for the profit of a few.
