CANCELED – Contentment: Elusive Dream or Practical Choice?

Sunday, June 18, 2017 | 1:00pm
This event has been canceled.

Are contented people just temperamentally blessed or is it possible for anyone to actively choose a contented life?

Using the work Contentment: A Way to True Happiness, as a springboard, we will explore the mystery of personal contentment. Authors Robert A.  Johnson and Jerry M. Ruhl are convinced that contentment is fundamentally a choice. But before we can choose contentment we need to identify the traps which sabotage our efforts. Using spirituality, psychology and the wisdom in Shakepeare's King Lear, the authors encourage us to examine our assumptions and live more joyfully in the present moment. Join the discussion as we meet in search of contentment and its simple gifts.
