Compassion for You, Compassion for the World

Sunday, September 20, 2020 | 4:00pm

The mind can be like a wild horse, running off in different directions each time you try to harness it. Discover ways to direct your attention to a wellspring of compassion—through the use of intention, words, and images. Our time together will include an exploration of the topic, guided meditation, silence, and reflection time. All are welcome to join this program designed to help you integrate compassion into your life. A Zoom link and password along with any relevant materials for the program will be sent to you before the program.

Joy Rains is the author of the primer Meditation Illuminated: Simple Ways to Manage Your Busy Mind and host of the podcast Mindful 180. Her book and podcast are designed to help those new to meditation tap into its transformative power. She’s a graduate of Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation’s 18-month contemplative leadership program. You can find Mindful 180 on your favorite podcast app or on www.joyrains.com.
