In Lent 2017, Washington National Cathedral will partner with the Episcopal Diocese of Washington to offer Alpha, an 8-week course exploring the Christian faith. Led by Bishop Mariann Budde, Dean Randy Hollerith and Alpha founder Jamie Haith, Alpha follows the ancient format of intimate discipleship: share a meal, listen to a talk, break into small groups to explore. Each session addresses a different question about the essentials of the Christian faith and is designed to create conversation.
March 2-April 27 (excluding Holy Thursday, April 13)
Alpha's tagline is "No pressure. No follow up. No charge." Everyone is welcome. Come join us as we explore some of the key spiritual questions: Who is Jesus? Why did he die for us? How do I pray? How can I find the Holy Spirit in my life?
This is a revised version of a program created in the Anglican Church several decades ago. More information can be found at www.alphausa.org.
