The Cathedral’s Adult Christian Formation Series is an intentionally-structured experience that deepens understanding and relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Members and local friends are invited to explore the intersection of your story, our story, and God’s larger story in the context of a learning and spiritual community at Washington National Cathedral.
The responsibility for the core of our Christian Formation programming rests with the lay-led Christian Formation Committee. Members had expressed a desire to dig deeper into the Christian life, and we regularly tap the gifts and experiences of our own lay leaders in the areas of prayer and meditation; social justice issues; exploring Scripture; and theology and church history.
The committee meets monthly to expand the core curriculum, designing courses and programs springing from our four priorities following the rhythm of the liturgical year. The committee is also working on ways to offer additional independent learning resources and online learning.
