Choral Evensong with Chapter Installation

All are welcome to this service of Choral Evensong as the Right Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of Washington, and the Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith, Cathedral Dean install new members of the Cathedral Chapter, the governing body of the Cathedral.

One of the treasures of the Anglican tradition, evensong is a service of sung evening prayer. The interspersing of music spanning from the Renaissance to the modern day, between familiar passages of scripture and ancient prayers, creates a contemplative mood.
