Special Racial Justice Task Force Meeting with Sheldon Scott
September 15, 2021 - 5:00pm
The RJTF invites you to a special conversation with artist Sheldon Scott. Scott is descendant of the enslaved West African Gullah who worked the land in the American South.
Scott uses his own body as art to focus on the painful legacy of slavery and recently held an exhibition where he hulled grains of rice for hours to mimic the work of his ancestors.
His digital work is being featured at the studio of congregation member Leigh Connor.

The RJTF meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
