On Thursdays through July 31, our Self-Guided Sightseeing hours are extended through 7 pm! Explore some of the most beloved Cathedral features at your own pace, such as the world-famous Space Window, Canterbury Pulpit, Now and Forever Windows, and more. Use the free Cathedral Digital Guide to access specialized self-guided tours, including three audio tours.

After Hours in the Towers

Experience the Cathedral like never before with an all-new after-hours event on Thursdays in July! Begin with a special edition Tower Climb and ascend through winding staircases and hidden passageways to see up-close details and panoramic vistas. After the climb, relax with light refreshments in the Cathedral’s Tower Observation Gallery and take in breathtaking views of “golden hour” over the DC area.

- Climbs last approximately 50 minutes, and tickets are issued in 15-minute increments between 5–7 pm. Admission also includes one drink ticket per visitor and access to the Nave.
