Cathedral Back-to-School Drive  

Help provide DC students with needed school supplies!

Collection Dates and Times
Sunday, Aug 14: 10:30 am – 1 pm   Back of the Nave
Monday, Aug 15: 10:30 am 12:30 pm   Cathedral Library
Tuesday, Aug 16  11 am – 2 pm   Cathedral Library

The Cathedral community is again joining Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ and The Episcopal Church of the Atonement (Capitol View) to provide backpacks and school supplies to children and youth in DC Wards 7 & 8.  As the new school year approaches, we want to make sure these students in grades 1-12 are equipped to start the year and fully engage in their lessons.

You can drop off backpacks and supplies in two ways. On Sunday, August 14, we will collect them after the 11:15 am Sunday service in the back of the Nave. On August Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16, you can drop off backpacks and supplies at the Cathedral Library (along South Road). Volunteers will be there to collect donations at the dates and times listed above.

You can find a complete list of supplies needed for grades 1-12 here. Pick a grade and please label the supplies and backpack for the specific grade level. School supplies can also be delivered to you directly from online merchants including Amazon, Target and Staples. You can then drop off items at the Cathedral on the dates specified above.

Backpacks and Supplies can only be dropped off at the times and dates specified above.

glue sticks
notebooks
folders
pencils
highlighters
rulers
3-ring binders
