Bishop Budde and Dean Hollerith pay tribute to former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, whose life exemplified faith-filled service for the common good.

You can read the full statement here, but in short:

In her work for mental health and care-givers, in eradicating disease and poverty, and most especially in joining her husband to build houses with Habitat for Humanity, Mrs. Carter embodied the Gospel call to care for the least, the lost and the last. Her public acts of private faith radiated the light of God’s love in the darkest corners of our globe. How blessed we were by her example.

Our prayers are with President Carter and the entire Carter family.
