Our Jewish brothers and sisters are on high alert amid reports that antisemitic white nationalists are planning to target Jews and Jewish institutions on Saturday as part of a nationwide "Day of Hate."

Headshot of the Rev. Canon Leonard L. Hamlin Sr.

My friends, this isn’t hard. Antisemitism grieves the very heart of God and is as un-Christian as it is un-American. There is no place for hatred of Jews or Judaism in our hearts, our homes, our churches or our country. It’s really that simple.

We stand with our Jewish friends and neighbors and condemn this ugly hatred. The most disturbing thing about all this is that, here in 2023, we’re still battling this demon.

We’re reminded of the wise words of the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Michael Curry: “If it isn’t about love, it isn’t about God.”
