Canon Cope: You Are Beloved

The best 13 minutes you’ll spend today will be listening to this week’s sermon from the Cathedral Provost, the Rev. Canon Jan Naylor Cope, where she talks about initiation ceremonies, and whether we have to be “good enough” to merit them.

The answer, she says, is actually quite simple.

“My brothers, sisters and siblings, if there is one thing I convey to you today it is that you are not only enough, you are beloved,” she said. “A beloved child of God, precious in God’s sight, no exceptions. God loves you, and so do we.”
