Cathedral Announces New July Evening Sightseeing Hours and Wind Down Wednesdays
WASHINGTON – Washington National Cathedral will kick off a new summer event series, Wind Down Wednesdays, for families to beat the heat and enjoy the Cathedral’s architecture and culture.
Running for four weeks and starting on July 10, the Cathedral will host exciting activities such as guided mindfulness practices, Labyrinth walks and live contemplative music.
Full-featured events include:
- Laughter Yoga in Bethlehem Chapel (July 10 and 17)
- Tai Chi in Bethlehem Chapel (July 24 and 31)
- Labyrinth Walk in St. Joseph’s Chapel
- Live Contemplative Music in the Nave
- Self-Guided Activities (Touring Brochures, Cathedral Explorer Packs for families with kids, Bloomberg Connects visitor app pathways with Audio Tour, Visio Divina resources)
- LEGO Exhibit
The Cathedral Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage, Cathedral Gift Shop, and Open City Cafe will be open during Wind Down Wednesday hours. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.
