Kenneth M. Jastrow, II served as Chairman and CEO of Temple-Inland Inc., an Austin-based Fortune 500 company with interests in paper, forest products, financial services. and real estate from 2000-2007. He worked at Temple-Inland for over 27 years, serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1998-1999, and Chief Financial Officer from 1991-1998.

Jastrow serves as a Director of Genesis Energy, LLC. He was formerly a director of KB Home, MGIC Investment Corporation, Forestar Group, Inc., the American Forest and Paper Association,  and Guaranty Financial Group. Jastrow is past Chairman of Texas Taxpayers Research Association and Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.

At The University of Texas, Jastrow served as Chairman of the Commission of 125 and UT’s $3 Billion Capital Campaign. Jastrow also served as Chair of the Development Board, McCombs School of Business Advisory Council, and Neighborhood Longhorns. He also founded UT’s Subiendo Academy for Rising Leaders. Currently, Jastrow serves as Co-Chair of the President’s Commercialization Advisory Board.

At the Cathedral, Jastrow served as a member of the Dean’s Council and the Strategic Planning Committee, and co-chairman of Lead and Principal gifts for the Cathedral for the Future comprehensive campaign. He also served as co-chair of the Forming Leaders on the Frontier capital campaign for the Seminary of the Southwest.

A native of Midland, Texas, he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas. He and his wife Susan Thomas Jastrow have three adult children and live on a ranch outside of Austin, Texas.
